@georgetakei it’s pretty bad, but it does look like there is a concerted effort to send help. It also looks like they have been diverted flights around the affected area so rescue workers can listen for people trapped in the rubble etc.

This is not an uncommon drill. When I first got to Europe, there were soon 2 earthquakes in Turkey, one killing ~2k, the second, ~5k. Our wing was airlift, and massive tonnage was delivered in support.
We'll do our part. Turks are not particularly grateful for Western aid, though.
