I spend half my time on various Mastodon clients scrolling back and forth to find the last post I was at after posting or doing pretty much *anything*. My kingdom for a client that remembers where the fuck I was and leaves my timeline THERE... 😔
@KingShawn yes, yes, yes, all. The. Yes!
I’m so spoiled by the way Twitterrific kept track of my timeline for me. 🄺
@montef Combine that with Twitterrific's EXCELLENT filtering capabilities and I really miss it. :(
@KingShawn oh yeah. The filters….I still haven’t found where to, or even if I can; mute words in the mastodon app. šŸ„ŗšŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

@montef That should be easy. Just go into the iOS Mastodon app and....

and....

Wait...

WTF!?

OK...looks like you *can't* manage filters through the iOS app, only the Mastodon website. 🤦

@KingShawn Ok. I feel better. I couldn’t find it either.
That seems to me like something that should be there…….or do I just not understand how mastodon was designed to work..?….?

@montef I think they expect you to manage your account via the website.

That's NOT a good expectation. :(

@KingShawn Agreed. Hopefully that changes. Perhaps the ā€œdistributedā€ nature of the ā€œfederationā€ of mastodon servers has something to do with it.
I have a lot to learn about this yet, so it would seem. *sigh*
@montef The good news is there are plenty of other Mastodon clients. The bad news is none of them do filtering well. :(
