#Metrolinx started clear cutting #OsgoodeHall’s 200 year old trees hours before the injunction hearing at 2PM. This Ford led government has no respect for the citizens it represents nor the laws it supposedly governs.
Councillor Josh Matlow was able to reopen the adjacent city sidewalk for which the province didn’t take out permits, stopping the tree cutting.
The court hears the case at 2PM. Zoom Link: https://ca01web.zoom.us/j/69022516465?pwd=YXo1ZExHMmszREVwckdzTWZ2b3lxQT09

It’s important to note that nobody is against transit here. The irreversible destruction of this *unique* space in downtown #Toronto is *completely unnecessary* — there are viable alternative locations, even just 10 feet away, that would not require removing any trees or cutting the historic gate.
Law Society of Ontario v Metrolinx injunction hearing is ongoing. Meanwhile, Metrolinx has ignored the upcoming injunction hearing and has already cut down one tree. This bad faith act alone should be sufficient to grant the injunction. #Toronto #TOpoli #ONpoli #OsgoodeHall
