There are words for this, singling out people who are allowed to die, or not deemed important enough to keep safe. Ugly words.

I don’t want to just give up, but what can anyone do? What gets us OFF this conveyor belt?

@Maxanadu_MX02 @gregggonsalves @thenation agreed, he's more focused and organized than TFG could ever be. I don't know that he's more dangerous than Biden, though. Biden is quite passive and conservative, and he's quietly delivering on the R's agenda to privatize everything better than TFG could have either. Even on social issues, he allows complacency and refused the mandate of the people who elected him.

I'll be voting Green, no more Dems for me. Katie Porter is one of the better ones but also is onboard with the illusion of normalcy everything is great, which is problematic in the same way the Squad was-- co-opt progressive and leftist votes, then squash them with indifference and platitudes the second they're in power.

I have said for years that if the powers that be decided that 102 deg was the new "normal" temperature then there would be so many less people with fevers.

Jha said "commercialization" of COVID care was great back in August, so we all had to know this was coming. That's all this is about.

The government takes it off of their plate, the private sector rakes in money and donates some of it back to those same politicians. It's, literally, the way our system works, sadly.

@gregggonsalves In any other circumstance this would prompt in person, intensive activism from disabled people, sit-ins and the like. But it’s not safe for many of us to do that and I’m not sure what’s going to happen now.
