Gardening as Resistance: Notes on Building Paradise

“Can you plant a garden to stop a war? It depends how you think about time. It depends what you think a seed does, if it’s tossed into fertile soil.”

I love that sentiment of 'tending to paradise'.

I'm convinced if you look at the bible as an anthropologist (I'm an athiest), the very very first 'commandment' is written (depending on translation, it's between the lines, or implied) in the first few paragraphs as something like:

"Tend the Garden"

I'll take it as gospel from the local Aboriginal attitude to Country.
