GPT-3 can eliminate a lot of executive and middle management jobs.

While I feel sorry for the impact, I believe that those folks can be retrained with new skills and become valuable contributors to our society.

Here is a sample that eliminates most M1/M2/M3 positions:

@Migueldeicaza they can always be trained to learn coding... isn't that what politicians always say?
@Migueldeicaza I wrote one of those today, all by myself (but with more facts and British sarcasm). I’m pretty sure ChatGPT was not trained on enough Monty Python skits to be fully corporate-grade…
@rcarmo I was doing plain GPT - I should try ChatGPT

@Migueldeicaza Right. I just had a vision of what would happen if that was trained with all the corporate chat data there is out there right now:

> Hi!
> I was wondering
> if you could
> spare a moment.
> To discuss <something vague>

< Hi. <can you just get to the point here?>

> You busy <even if it’s obvious>?
> I have <a major f*ck up ongoing>

< Sorry, was in a call <that was more interesting than you>
< Can you find a slot in my calendar <to discuss this life-changing matter>?

@rcarmo god dammit. There goes my next joke project
@Migueldeicaza yeah, well… I’m living it.
@Migueldeicaza automate it creating meetings with a vague topic and no agenda or description and it's a winner.
@Migueldeicaza i’d send them collect garbage for a while, as a matter to show them what “working” actually means

@Migueldeicaza

What I read out of your statement is that the positions you talk about were never needed. If it can be replaced by a subpar and often wrong text generator than it can not be a vital position

@Migueldeicaza

The kind and amount of text templates suspects higher politics (2nd row) political actors and disney compatible main stream entertainment of the same thing though

@Migueldeicaza I think we can even replace M1/M2/M3 positions with ∅ instead of a cluster of physical servers eating MW, it will save some energy better used somewhere useful 😏
@Migueldeicaza Personally I think the irony is that programming jobs are more likely to be eliminated by GPT-3 first.
