For the color week I thought about different techniques and decided to go simple with stripes. I wanted to make DK weight knee socks to wear around the house and had these three colors on hand: one solid and two different pastel gradients. To liven things up a little I added some slip stitches to the stripes, still very easy to work, but adds interest.

I’ve switched to plain, narrower stripes for the feet, feeling lazy about staying in pattern while doing gusset decreases.

FWIW here’s the leg pattern.
With color 3, work ribbing to desired length. Knit 1 round plain. If needed, adjust number of stitches to be multiple of 3

@bxknits - I never thought of knitting house socks in heavier yarn and now I really want to try it.
@NullNoMore
I have a few pairs I really like for winter, some short like slippers and some longer like these. I find them cozy, plus they work up faster than sock weight yarn, for sure 😉
@bxknits I love this color combo.
@scarfwitch
Thanks! I’m liking how it’s working out.
