@igb Although please, *please*, (considerately and carefully) take your right-of-way when you have it. Giving it up and attempting to usher a cyclist or pedestrian across assumes a) we can see you through the windscreen glare and b) we trust you not to do anything boneheaded. These are big asks for pedestrians and cyclists from drivers—I would prefer you to be predictable.

@ratkins @igb I’ve also experienced it to create dangerous situations when other car drivers get annoyed and over take aggressively. When in car I also drive to slow others down, but try to balance it with that in mind.
