Most people have house spiders… but I guess it is just a little strange to know how many you have and where they are. Maybe.
@futurebird When I lived in France we had giant house spiders (tegenaria) and it was definitely important to know where they hid and what their habits were, to ensure peaceful cohabitation.
One of them stayed in a hole in the wall next to the speakers. They usually went out on a walk in the evening if we watched a noisy movie. We would say hi and turn the volume down.
@TheOtterDragon @futurebird That’s weirdly sweet, actually. They really were a fren.
@joemcken @futurebird They were a roommate 🤷
@TheOtterDragon @joemcken I tried asking the house spiders to help with rent and ended up with a bunch of horrible little dead fly gifts wrapped in silk. 🪰
@futurebird They ate mosquitos, and as mosquito's favourite all-you-can-eat buffet I value that.
