unfortunately, our country seems to have missed an important offramp to how to use firearms with safely first methods. Many other nations have MUCH less issues with firearm deaths. Granted a lot of the mass shooters are suffering from mental issues or some other malady and are perhaps at the end of their ropes, and instead of just offing themselves, they decide to kill a lot of people on their way out. If firearms had an internal computer that could ID a mass shooter's intent, it could simply blow up killing that person and no one else. Then firearms might be a bad thing to own. Someone far more intelligent than me could figure that out....
