I think #IceCubesApp is my favourite of the recent #Mastodon apps, but nothing yet matches #Metatext in terms of accessibility, for me anyway as I need images and text to be as large as possible for eye comfort.

Which is your favourite of the bunch? 🐘

Ooh, interesting that #IceCubesApp pipped #Ivory to the post on my little poll 🐘

I'm really pleased to have discovered #Mastoot through this though - my own personal winner! πŸ˜œπŸ‘

@Claydisarray I’ve got about 15 installed lol, though @icecubesapp is my favourite.
@onlinegoddess @icecubesapp Ha, I know what you mean! #IceCubesApp is certainly one of the best imo πŸ‘
@Claydisarray @icecubesapp if you prefer a visually clean app with font-size adjustment, I’d highly recommend Trunks. It’s still in beta, but you can try it here: https://testflight.apple.com/join/g8J05VSB
Join the trunks for Mastodon beta

Available on iOS

@onlinegoddess Ah, nice one. I'll take a look later - thanks! 🐘
@Claydisarray I voted Ivory, but I also really like Toot!.
@john I'm excited to see what will happen with Toot! development.
@maique @MonaApp There's quite a few I haven't come across. Might have a look at Mona at some point.

@Claydisarray I jump between several.

Neither Ivory, IceCubes, or Wooly has both Trending Posts with native Filters at the same time (Maybe IceCubes but its list of Trending Posts is very short).
Ivory is very slick though so I use it for everything else, then either Metatext or Elk (home screen bookmark) if scrolling Trending Posts.
My next choice would be Wooly mainly because the scrolling on IceCubes is a a bit janky which bothers me.

Desktop-wise I'm all in on Elk.

@mrwalter Ah, interesting. I've still to try Wooly and I'm tempted to try Elk at some point on desktop.
@Claydisarray Metatext, for the same reason. The developer has health issues though. I hope he gets well soon.
@Claydisarray browser access or downloaded progressive web app works perfect (way better than official Mastodon app and as good as all the 3rd party apps I've tried)
@Webwasp ah, good to know about. Thank you πŸ‘

@Claydisarray πŸ‘.. I use the "Microsoft Edge" browser on an Android phone. In this browser you can just:

1. Login to your Mastodon instanse via the Edge browser

2. utilize the 'Add to Home Screen' browser feature to get the progressive web app installed on your mobile

... It should work in Chrome browser too

@Webwasp

@Claydisarray Also elk.zone πŸ‘Œ

@ifrit @Claydisarray Nice!
-It seems that Elk still miss features but it for sure looks promising -thx for sharing!

@Claydisarray Ivory or Metatext for me, but surprised Mammoth is not getting recognition it deserves. It has some nice features not available elsewhere, like subscribing to hashtags. I think it locks itself up in TestFlight for far too long and should have been released publicly.
Same as #pixelfed app btw.
@alexgranford yes, I’m surprised at that too tbh. Seems as good as any of the rest to me.
