Want to help out with development of Toot!? I have been doing some large internal rewriting, and probably introduced some exciting new bugs in the process, so I thought it might be best to do a public beta for this version to shake them out a bit before release.

Ideally, only bother reporting things that used to work but are now broken! Not really looking at doing any general improvements at the moment.

There is one new feature in this build, which is some experimental notification folding. I’m also interested in any feedback on how that is working out for you.

@tootapp notification folding is low-key a feature I’ve wanted for a while, gladly test for it!

(I run TestFlight builds for anything anyway, so any excuse will do, but NOTIFICATION FOLDING!!!!)

@hermitary @tootapp You can install the beta over the App Store build with TestFlight. Once you’re finished/want to leave the beta, you can redownload the App Store build from your purchase history. You won’t need to pay again if you’ve purchased Toot! already from the App Store.

@gunneraditya Just in case you didn't know this already: It is possible to install Ventura on older MacBooks with OpenCore Legacy Patcher: https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher/

It worked flawlessly on my Mid 2012 15" Non-Retina, I couldn't be happier! 🥳

@yee Are you sure? That should definitely work, and also, that is entirely controlled by the server, Toot! will just show what the server sends there.

@tootapp my server is gotosocial not Mastodon but other client such as Mastoot has no issue showing boost toots.

@yee Then there is some incompatibility in gotosocial with the Mastodon API, and you should probably report it to them.
