🤔 #COVID
@luckytran We need to admit that #JoeBiden has become nearly as bad on #COVID19 as The Former Guy.
@BruceMirken @luckytran Was he ever any better? They're both Americans.

"nothing will fundamentally change." - Joe Biden

"If we stop testing right now, we'd have very few cases, actually." - Donald Trump

@luckytran What could possibly go wrong?
@luckytran American arrogance in a nutshell.
Except for the people who are dying, everything is fne.
@luckytran capitalism demands it's blood.
@luckytran I just don't understand these announcements. Today was so jarring.

@brooklynmarie @luckytran

This country is jumping the shark so hard 😖

@luckytran
The mainstream of American opposition at this point accepts without thought that WHO & anything that would call itself a 'vaccine alliance' would prima facie be part of an evil cabal.

Centrist Democrats will therefore try to disassociate themselves with WHO & Gavi in a vain attempt to win the attention of the mainstream of American opposition.

@luckytran WHO probably reffers to the fact that there's still a danger of future mutations appearing that could send loads of people to the ICU like the first variants did and that we shouldn't keep our guard down.
@luckytran … we are indeed an odd lot … sigh is not a big enough word …

@luckytran <sigh>

Dropping Covid emergency measures is both stupid and logical.

Stupid because of course Covid is isn’t over if you look at the evidence from a medical or social impact perspective.

It’s logical because you can’t keep trying to lead where the electorate just isn’t going to go. Not *should go* but *will* go.

It’s like the meme “time to stop saying ‘avoid it like the plague,’ because that’s not what we do now.”

Edit to clarify it’s covid.

@bubbajet @luckytran Except following the uninformed group (or rather, the group you caused to be misinformed) is not leadership. People ARE willing to do the right things if they are actually informed about the issue.

@shawrd773 @luckytran I don’t disagree. But there’s no support in the media - which is driven by money, not truth - to spread the word. The purveyors of falsehoods have won.

It’s going to take a much higher death rate to get the public’s attention next time. Until people die in the tens of thousands per day in the US alone, it’s not going to get attention.

From a leadership perspective, it’s time to work on groundwork for next time. Makes me sad. People are getting hurt for no reason.

@luckytran

America is truly the greatest country in the USA 🙃
