@flexghost I went to an extremely nerdy, goody-two-shoes, all-girls Catholic high school infamous for its strict dress code.
We were not allowed to have our skirts more than *two* inches above the top of the knee.
One day a month we could wear regular clothes instead of our uniforms. I don't remember any rule against sleeveless dresses or blouses.
As for reading? Well, we were encouraged to read a lot.
