Nobody would ever confuse me for a handyman but I installed a light switch today and feel like Bob fucking Villa!

To put this in perspective, in the past I would just pay an electrician $300 (or whatever) to spend 15 minutes installing a $15 light switch rather than do it myself.

@maddox @haacked it's easy to do, just tighten the plate a little too much and hwhoops now you're doing plaster repair

@anizocani I was worried about that. In my case the old one was a dimmer so I had to cut the wires. Turns out I could have just uncapped where they connected to the house wires but I didn’t know that at the time. 😂
