The end of democracy doesn’t start with bookshelves being emptied and books removed it happens years before when the movements pushing it come to power. Killing a democracy is a process and we are so much further along it than people want to admit.

Fascists already run Florida, Texas, Ohio, and several other states.
How we respond is important and telling.
We can fight like hell for a democracy, or we can fiddle while America burns.

@PricklyPam @brainnotonyet were I somewhere I could make a difference, I'd be on it already.
I'm in solidly blue New York. I'm not even near the Adirondacks where they have an unhealthy love for Elise Stefanik, not am I downstate where Santos is from.
We have better candidates available.

As an educator, I educate. I use my words, my education, my training to push an agenda. I prepare the next generation to be critical thinkers and open-minded.

I do my part.

It’s disgusting watching the Performative bullshit from democrats at the national level while democracy is strangled in front of them. Or telling people to vote when voting isn’t and won’t stop this ongoing fascist coup
