Josh Finniestill trying to find myself here. my following count is still about half that of Twitter and I'm just struggling to get enough of a timeline to enjoy it here. any suggestions?

@joshfinnie Oh and using @ivory — it won’t help with your timeline, but it’s one of the only apps that made the Mastodon experience feel premium and enjoyable.
Shane Afsar@derekpcollins @joshfinnie +1 to Derek’s recommendations. I followed a mix of news accounts and people who talk about things I’m interested in (eg software development, tech news, tech ethics, former coworkers, home improvement, star wars…)
I also used one of the sites that extracts mastodon account names from one’s twitter following (and followers) to get a bunch of initial accounts to follow.
