Poor indoor air quality in schools decreases test scores. Some people have been saying this for years. https://twitter.com/airCoda/status/1619755018311311360

@SexyCyborg I made a CR box for my 5 y/o's classroom and the teacher said "No thanks, I hear the A/C regulates airflow."

Nobody understands how any of this works!

@SexyCyborg
CR boxes help with pathogens and particulates, but not CO₂ itself, so it may or may not be relevant to this particular result; that will depend on the mechanism of the effect

As for A/C regulating airflow, that'd be the next question to ask... how exactly is the airflow regulated, is there an ACH rate, is it fresh air or filtered; you may or may not be in a position to get answers 🙁

@sabik yes, i am aware that running air through a filter does not eliminate co2, thank you
@robotfactory
I mean, the difference in test scores could plausibly be caused by pathogens or particulates, or by CO₂ directly; hard to tell just from this
@sabik I was just illustrating how little anyone seems to understand ventilation and filtration. Like, at all.
