@feditips Hey, FediaTips! This account I'm writing for is ment to boost (it's not a bot, I do it by hand) all Toot Calls, Toot Contests and #HashtagGames . If you are not familiar with the concept, they are all games coming from Twitter where the host(s) give a theme or a hashtag for people to use and sand them Toots with yhe theme The host(s) than boost the Toots (all or favourite, depending on the rules the host gives).
That's a great way for small accounts to get followers. That's what gave me a start on Twitter.
Could you please add my profile (and taking part in the games) to the ways people to get Followers. I hope this would bring more awareness to the concepts of Toot Calls/Contacts and Hashtag Games, so we get more hosts as well. And of course help more small accounts to gain followers.

I would add to use hashtags as much as possible. This brings people to your account who might not ordinarily read your posts. It seems to have brought a wide variety of accounts to some of my posts.

Hashtags are great. They are the only searchable attributes I know of that are on here and quickly send you to conversations you are interested in.

In reverse, although I am a sports guy, I don't follow the NHL and can filter those posts out using the filter settings on my account. Ditto for Caturday and other common tags I have no interest in.

It means I don't need to mute people I follow who like the NHL or Caturday.
