I wrote a few days ago about my middle aged need to learn #python. Now that my feelings have cooled a bit, should I focus on another programming language instead? I choose python because that's what my husband mostly works with.

I'm not really sure what I want to accomplish. I thought about scripts with python to manage my work flow. I'm also pondering #HTML to build webpages. Maybe #CSS for webpages and Obsidian?

@ankteckningar HTML and CSS have been very helpful to me. I'd prefer to learn those to python if I didn't already have a pretty good handle on them. Like you, I don't know what I'd use python for. Scripts of some sort, I guess. Just for fun, mostly. I recommend HTML and CSS.
@ajlewis2 how did you find the learning curve?

All require a significant time investment. Tough decision if you don't have a project in mind. Maybe look at freecodecamp.org Watch a basic tutorial or two and get a feel for each. Or flip a coin and just go for it.

@glenng802 @ajlewis2 I've been looking at w3schools for all the language that has been on my mind. Maybe I should wait until summer when I have less other stuff going on? I'll have max an hour a day to use for it right now.

Or use the time to explore. All good...
