@jasonrutherford @ivory Same is true for me. The general mastodon client works. Guess they haven‘t implemented it yet or maybe completely. Fingers crossed they fix it in an upcoming release. The work so far is really good.

@jasonrutherford @ivory +1 Love the app, but discovery should be high on the list of such a new medium and app.

Also, please make a separation between notification sounds and interface sounds. I'd love to hear when xyz happens, but not every time I happen to do something myself.

@ivory I know quote post was barely added to the roadmap, but that feels like the one feature that would be most impactful in the short term, as people carry the behavior on Mastodon, and other clients start adopting it.

@ivory I’m not sure yet if I’ll use Mastodon as frequently as I used Twitter, but I’m really thankful to Tapbots for all that years with Tweetbot. So I took a yearly Ivory subscription. Hope, you guys will be able to stay in business 🙏

Very sympathetic to your situation… When the place I work for put out its app in beta and invited just the other departments staff to comment, it took them months to integrate all the notes and fixes.

Just so glad you guys are in the IndieWeb frey over here with us.

@TransitBiker But people can do that (and do) already even without it being an official feature. You just copy a link to a post, create a new post, paste and add commentary. Anyone with ill-intentions will take the effort regardless of tools available.

@ivory Haven't you already completed the "edit post" feature? Agreed, it's a bit hidden behind the delete option, but afaik that's what it is. Delete and replace with a new post.

@udondan The mastodon api provides a way to truly edit where your post doesn't actually get deleted and you can see a history of changes. We will implement that soon.

@Chernobyl It already exists. But we won't treat them like a messaging system like other apps because that's not what they are. They are just posts that only the mentioned users can see. They aren't truly private as your server admin can read them and it's way too easy to add anyone into the conversation.

@zacky Yup. we are working with a few that rely on accessibility features to fix things that have broke in our transition from Tweetbot to Ivory. 🙂

@alexhung Right now Ivory doesn't use the web option "Hide with a warning". It is on our list of things to build. But if your web filter uses the “Hide Completely" option, you won't see them in Ivory.
