Pete@benoit part of it too is the #smallinstance / #soloinstance bring up. The big aha moment for me was realizing my server wasn’t sending my messages anywhere because my sub count is low. Getting enrolled in #relays and using repeaters like @subject can help broadcast your message in spite of low follower counts.
@benoit agreed. I’m feel so much better about being on here than on the big-tech platforms. I really feel much better about running my own instance than even being on someone else’s.

@pgv It's when you look at something that's right in front of you but miss it completely. It happen to all of us. I sent an important email to a few people yesterday with Dear NAME, .. (forgot to replace the name) .. oy.
