Great afternoon walk at Carsaig today. Tide was out so lots of shore exposed. Nice little ammonites, belemnites and gryphaea by the hundreds. Plus loads of neat dykes cutting across the shore sediments.
now i remember why the name sounded so familiar. I was already hiking there on the coast with my wife and we have seen besides wild goats also funny rock formations. And, I think that I had also found a fossilized bird's head. Actually, we have to go there again, now also with the children. We are just planning again for this year and possibly we camp again in Fionnphort
