Why does the iPad not show battery health in Settings: Battery?
iPhone, Apple Watch, and even MacBooks all show battery health. Only iPads do not. Very odd!

@gruber That's intentional by #Apple.

They certainly want to make the nice $$$ of people having #DangerPillow|s cracking their screens and overcharging them for a replacement.

@kkarhan didn’t realize the conspiracy theorists have already invaded mastodon. Shame.

@bgregus just talking from experience, m8.

I mean there are others with a far higher number of samples in their collection, but I've yet to hear of any other company releasing laptops with flex cables for HDDs that break.

Not to mention that #DangerPillow|s are the reason WHY I only buy and use devices with toolfree swap- and removeable batteries myself...

@kkarhan please use an example from less than a decade ago. Anecdotal experiences are just that. Anecdotal. They are not “the end all be all” just because YOU experienced something. Anyway. Have a nice night.
@bgregus I just say so because I've had batteries go danger pillow on me and I want to avoid eWaste and having toolfree-removeable batteries is the way to achieve that.

@bgregus

Q: Have you ever seen a #lithium #battery on fire?

It's the kind of shit where firefighters can only throw dry sandbags on and wait for it to glass itself...

@kkarhan I have absolutely no idea how this is relevant or why this is being brought up so I will be disengaging as you appear to be a troll.
