In 2018 I got a work #laptop. A few months later the #battery swelled and got replaced. The old battery is still sitting somewhere, but it's not swollen anymore.

Now, the 7yo "new" battery is dying (Linux reports "battery health: 56%"), and this computer is now mine (part of the layoff package). I wonder if it makes any sense to use the old one that swelled, or just throw both away and buy a new one.

The current one gives 1h+, so it's not not that urgent.
