What would you say are the greatest threats to or challenges for the leather community to overcome in the next 10 years?

@Eldest
1. The loss of dedicated spaces, to gentrification and apathy.

2. The moral panic presently centred around trans people and drag queens is unlikely to remain there. It will broaden to target other elements of the LGBT community, and I consider us a very likely target.

3. Inclusiveness will remain a challenge. Many will continue to consider any moves towards it "political" and loudly pretend the (cis-white-middle-class-gay) scene has always been "apolitical"

@Eldest whilst we've made huge progress towards inclusion, I think there's still a lot of work to do. A lot of the community leaders are still cis white gay men, and that can (and has) lead to a lot of issues which we're only now beginning to talk about. I'd love to see more POC and trans folk in positions of community leadership, to tackle these issues from the root.
@Eldest Over-emphasis on Tradition and gear elitism becoming increasingly large barriers to new members and forms of expression - already an issue… this divide seems to be widening rather than being bridged.
