Ged MaheuxI just woke to Twitter push notifications on my phone from both TMZ and Elon Musk.
Needless to say I don’t follow these accounts and I don’t have push notifications turned on for either of them. Elon’s getting more and more desperate every day.
Twitter deliberately turned ALL these push notifications back ON, they were most certainly OFF prior. This is on the @Twitterrific account BTW, not on my personal act. I know they were off because Ollie gets too many followers and I didn’t want to be notified each time some one followed. 🤬

Kirk McElhearn@gedeonm Same here. I had all these off previously. This said, since I only have badges on in my iPhone notifications settings, I didn’t see them. To be fair, I didn’t see badges either.
Gordon@gedeonm omg. He did. Recently I’ve been getting so many notifications that I never toggled. That bastard (this is happening in the native app for me)

I found their app so annoying I removed it from all my devices a long time ago. Maybe stick to only using it via a web browser?

Nicomo@gedeonm I usually have all notifications turned off from all social media apps - controlled at device level. Haven't looked at the birdsite since joining here.
