Long overdue but still welcome.

@georgetakei pope francis seems like a compassionate man.

this is a step in the right direction. he supports workers rights and unions too. i think he is christ-like, which is good for a pope.

i disagree with it being considered a sin, but it's supporting decriminalization is an important step.

sends a message to catholics everywhere to be more tolerant of the LGBTQ+ community.

@superheroine
At least a considered answer out here given the circumstances.
If you want to interpretate him I guess you'd need to know about the different branches of Catholics and in his case franziskans in particular.

This man once said:
"Yes, it's better if you hit your child on the "Popo", not in the face!"
Germans wanted to crucify him:
"How can you say it's good to hit a child!"
He knew that he was speaking to the whole latin american continent, and beating only the "Popo" is advancing.

@bitpickup

thank you for that information. in my church the prophet also gives statements that are steps but measured. i think it's to slowly move conservatives forward without causing schism in the church (again).

it can be a bit frustrating and i don't fully know how i feel about it. i think negatively but i also understand.
