Mx VerdaYo, I saw this a few years ago and was reminded about it today.
Her point isn’t “lol let’s kill kittens”, it’s “open admission animal shelters don’t have the resources to keep every animal alive, much leas without foster carers and volunteers.”
Why I Support "Kill Shelters"
@MxVerda thank you for sharing. In my country there are no kill shelters and it breaks my heart that innocent animals are being killed everyday in other countries while puppy mills and breeders "create" more and more animals under inhumane conditions 💔
@anna_lillith yep. Much as I love savannah cats, singapuras, ocicats, maine coons and other specialised breeds, it’s just not worth it to prioritise distinct characteristics over any given cute cuddler in a shelter or wandering around.
