Pilot Iroshizuku Amo-Iro. I'm not a huge fan of Pilot inks; they always come out rather dull looking for my eyes. #Pens #fountainpens
@antonio106 I picked up a new Faber-Castell yesterday, with a stainless M nib. It came with a cartridge, and a six-pack of Lamy cobalt blue ink cartridges. Your ink strikes me as a half-a-shade less dull than the cobalt blue, which is really (!) dull. I had an extra converter laying around, but it doesn't fit the new pen. Ordered the right converter now, and I'm looking forward to using it with something other than cobalt blue.

@inkynibs funny, Graf von Faber-Castell is another one that makes super dry inks. I bought their Violet Blue sight unseen because of how lush the box art of the ink was; but it's a very smoky metallic purple on paper.

I write with F and EF nibs so I know that biases me; I'm a Herbin fanboy because every one of their inks comes out super saturated.

@antonio106 My new F-C has an M nib, but apart from one LH, I prefer F and EF, too. Even at an M, the F-C writes with a lot of feedback. I’m a side-writer southpaw, so I’m also sensitive to scratchy writers. I’m partial to vibrant, smooth inks that dry fairly quickly so they don’t smudge when I drag my paw through it. In other words, I’m still looking.
@antonio106
The 3rd is a Monte Rosa with OM nib
@EgbertS pardon my ignorance, but what's an OM nib?
@antonio106 OM nib is Left oblique medium nib. This Mont Blanc has 14ct nib and was my father's fountain pen, built around 1958
@EgbertS it's a very nice collection. It's amazing how many #fountainpen hobbyists are also chess people. :)

@antonio106 Hmmm... that looks a lot duller than I would expect Amo-Iro to be; what paper?

Alternately, you might try Pelikan 4001 Turquoise (which with a bit more nib will shade AMAZINGLY; my Pilot Metropolitan in Medium Italic made that ink look like WOW) or if you like the idea of permanent and don't mind cleaning occasionally, De Atramentis Document Cyan...
