Largest increases in encountered migrants from October-December:

- Nicaragua 69%

- Venezuela -63%
- Mexico -27%
- Haiti -24%

Still trying to fathom the fact that almost 8,000 Russian people sought asylum at the US-Mexico border last month.

The overwhelming majority of Russian migrants are coming to California and Arizona (all colors here except orange), in most cases arriving at ports of entry.

But an increasing number are coming to ports of entry in south Texas (orange).
