This is a great article by Bruce Henderson of @tachiai . I am in full agreement.

The Case For Yokozuna Takakeisho

With the tournament now complete, I am eager to see what becomes of Takakeisho. There was a thought at the beginning of all of this, that he might begin March as the second Yokozuna alongside Terun…

2 builds:

- There is historic parity in current #sumo. Its harder (not easier) to win consistently. There were 6 winners last year and only 1 Ozeki this basho for the 1st time in ages. TKS's consecutive yusho equivs (YD+Y) are meaningful.

- Aside from nationalism, a Yokozuna TKS would be great for business. He's winning with an entertaining and exciting style that new fans will enjoy: Tyson knockouts, Rocky slugfests and textbook judo. Oozing hinkaku.

So let's go! Keisho 4 Yokozuna!

PS. I know it's totally unlikely, and can read between the lines when Hiro is downplaying the chances on the JSA's official broadcasts... But it really would be for the best, IMHO.
