I'm tearing my hair out with posters on #Ancestry today.

Researching one particular family, this moning I've already discovered an uncle and his nephew whose lives have been incorrectly swapped, with the uncle's death now recorded at 117. And in another branch, a Reverend has been mistaken for a Sir in the family two centuries earlier, so that all later sons have been knighted as well. 😫

This is why I don't trust Ancestry trees!!

@RosJ I use them as a guide but research everything to prove or disprove. I also add notes in the birth description field on my tree like "this is not the John who married so and so" when I see discrepancies in hopes to help the next person who comes along.
