Ooh — Mastodeck!

https://mastodeck.com/

If you used to dig Tweetdeck back in the day, this looks like a pretty promising modern-day equivalent for #mastodon.

Really cool to see!

MastoDeck - advanced Mastodon client

The ultimate Mastodon client for power users. Real-time, fully customizable, built to match how you use Mastodon.

@jr That looks really nice!
One more thing to test.
@jr isn’t this just the “advanced mode” setting in mastodon?

@atheistengineer
Without checking it out, I'm assuming you can add multiple accounts, otherwise yes, looks just like 'advanced' mode

@jr

@mr_omneo @atheistengineer Yup, exactly. Kind of like an advanced version of that. :)
@jr I can't seem to get it to show the local timeline. Any hints?
@jr OK, I figured that out, and I love the look. The only thing that will stop me using it for now, is the lack of translator, and the ability to post images. Once those are in, I'll be moving over to this permanently.
@TacticalGrace_ Seems like it's still very early days for it. Hopefully we'll see lots of progress yet!
@jr Aye. The UI needs a few tweaks, in terms of clarity of purpose, along with the additions I mentioned, and then it's gonna be absolutely amazing. I'm genuinely looking forward to seeing how it goes, and keeping my fingers crossed that it works out alright.

@jr that looks pretty neat.

While I like the advanced UI (columns), they don't look nearly as sleek as this!

@jr Oooh... what does it cost?
@jscottcoatsworth Nothing — for the moment, at least!
@jr how does it have different behavior versus the advanced mode of default mastodon?
@BlackIkeEagle More options/customizability, multiple account support, etc. Take a peek through it, and you'll see where it stands apart!
@jr that’s cool 🤩
@jr started playing with the Stylus extension to make it a little more readable for me :) Mostly just changing the font size
@jr Oups
@Enky D'oh! Looks like we overloaded 'em with interest, eh?
@jr isn't this just the Advanced Web Interface that already comes built in to masto?
@Ideology Similar, yup — almost like an advanced version of that. More options/customizability, multiple account support, etc.
@jr It is very promising, but clearly early days. Claims to be in beta, but doesn't feel like it is. Hopeful it'll get better in features and usability, though! 🙂
@jr schweet! I will try it later.
@jr back inte the day?!
@kjellbastian TweetDeck lost its luster and started going downhill a long time ago, for lots of us — around the time that Twitter bought it.
@jr I´m som not in touch with whats hot or not regarding these things

@jr won't load for me, have to try again later... you might also like Sengi, which basically does the same thing and can be self-hosted as well:

Discover Sengi

@jr looks like it's getting hugged to death... will definitely try it out!
@jr it's nice, but I don't think it's ready yet.
@jr That looks a lot like the advanced web interface, wondering what the differences is
@Canageek More customization/control + multiple account support.

@jr does it keep the column layout on mobile?

That's my main pain point withe out of the box Mastodon progressive web app. On desktop I have advanced view but not on mobile

@ricard Haven't tried it on mobile, but it seems to be more of a desktop-optimized thing at the moment.
@jr Wonderful! Thank you!
@jr okokokokok!!! Fuckin‘ cool shit gets real! <3
