Is it possible to block requests from a specific domain? I've gotten four follows from users that have 0 posts and 0 followers all fun the same domain and it feels sus. #fediverseinfo #admin #FediBlock
@Aqua_Unicorn I'm not sure if it is with mastodon, but at least with CalcKey it's under settings and then instance block

@Aqua_Unicorn

1. You can set in your options to decide yourself who can follow you (would recommend this option anyway).

2. You can (temporarily) block the domain. There’s indeed a domain with such problems today. On demand, you still can observe who it’s developing and then unblock later.
Just be aware you may lose followers of the domain you block (not sure thou)

@Aqua_Unicorn I think so? I can block a whole domain at the admin level, I know that, but the user-level block tools seem really robust. Not sure if this bit is the right one

@Aqua_Unicorn Also, if you "silence" an instance its public toots won't be sent automatically to your instance, but if your people follow them, then they can see each other just fine.. This also affects follow request when coming from a silenced instance your server will ask your users to approve or reject such follow even if they have not set "follows on approval only".
