Workers Strike Back
@d_RLY Kshama Sawant is one of the most effective grassroots organizers in the US. I'm sure she will do some great things.
@leftylabourtech @d_RLY She has been one of the best sources of motivation for me ever since I first heard her do an interview on the Bad Faith podcast. This one person has managed to embody everything "The Squad" was made out to be early on for lots of progressives and new leftists. Where they are alright with talking the talk on social media, they never bring that fight to congress or in their actual deeds. I think that if the real left gets more shots of energy from her and others that also bring it. Then we could get some real shit done in both direct actions/solidarity AND in the local/national levels of legal power. Folks/orgs like her give me hope and make me want to try harder to be a better person.
@drly @d_RLY I think that one of the most important things for the left is to have hope... genuine hope that comes through struggle. I see so much despair, not just in the US, but in my own country and others. While elections can be important, they aren't everything. Struggle and pushback in communities and workplaces in various forms is probably more critically important.
