@portaloffreedom @climatebrad If it were a choice between nuclear and coal, I'd go with nuclear 100% of the time.
But the nuclear NIMBY lobby is stronger than the coal NIMBY lobby in Germany, so... it is what it is. :(
Matt@nafnlaus @climatebrad one could say that the two are inextricably linked; Humans under pressure will compete. The reality is the resource wars have started: Food, Fuel, Minerals, etc. People will continue to underestimate the biggest player though until it's too late: nature, who lacks any form of sentimentality and on which we are all dependent. It's little coincidence we have such an emphasis on going green.

PL@climatebrad Indeed very powerful image. However I'm not sure why you needed to use the phrase "inhumane-scale machine" when the wind farm is even way larger. Demonizing technology will not be part of the solution for stopping climate change

And it is to slow, the old ones will have the same problems like in France and have to low capacity and possible new ones will need 10+ years, even without the protests.
So we should put the money in renewables.
