William Gillis 🏴I have never, not once ever, seen someone invoke "badjacketing" in outrage at a callout who hasn't themselves endlessly attacked, privately dunked on, and socially triangulated against other people. It's just they think it's okay to gossip viciously about how *uncool* someone is in some arbitrary way whereas they see an existential threat in anyone ever relaying ethical condemnations like "that person is a shitty edgelord who repeatedly defends fascists."
Thommy@rechelon I hate seeing that term. It just seems like trivializing a real, very bad thing (snitchjacketing) by repurposing it to mean criticism. And it's effectively used as a synonym for "cancel" i.e., thing that's barely even real and not a big deal.
