@quinnanya we've made significant progress in the last decade in numismatics. Nomisma.org was borne primarily out of a need of researchers to query across many national Roman coin finds databases, each accessible only in the home countries' native languages. The problems and solutions are summarized here: http://dlib.nyu.edu/awdl/isaw/isaw-papers/20-6/ ; I can add more bibliography and example projects. Our projects are accessible in 20 languages now, including Urdu, Turkish, and Arabic, and we see increased usage in those countries due to search robots indexing those languages
