@brianbeutler In the Econ 101 model that so many on the right base their worldview on, the natural state of affairs is supposed to be competing firms bidding up wages for the most productive and talented employees. That is going to take strong regulatory action on the part of the federal government to bring about this situation is one of the strongest pieces of evidence against small government politics and laissez-faire economic policy.
