@xalieri That's a new approach. Different from your other works. Are you working in a planned direction or are you going with the flow?
@eyeling It's a divergence from the tokusatsu series, where human capacity is amplified (for good or bad) by hybridization with animal forms. It's a contrast with the typical Western view, where "bestial" is always "lesser". I'm still exploring the horror/fascination reaction to see how it compares to more typical prejudices with respect to race or visible deformations. Next step is to try to put these back in human social contexts.

There's a ton of space to explore in these models for something genuine and evocative -- especially if you push into areas where the distortions and anatomical flaws are features instead of annoyances. Horror/surreal works are ideal and fit with my writing (which I consider my main venture). Anyway, here's a (tentative, unpolished) sample of what I mean by "social context"... Inevitably, humor elements creep in.
