Alliekinda despise that lots of projects use discord for their support communities. it's not easily searchable and is closed off. lots of times if you Google the issue nothing comes up but on the discord there's loads of threads about the exact same thing.

i assume they're using discord instead of a forum to cut hosting costs and take advantage of people's existing accounts, but there are so many other ways they could do that while keeping it all searchable. including those open-source federated ones
