Was told to be at the hospital at 7:30am for surgery.
Now I get told that I'm planned for 1pm. But I need to stay here and wait in a brightly lit waiting room that STINKS till noon....

I'm gonna cry... 🥺

Fun with #mecfs 😭

Surgery is over, I'm in my room, I'm okay 👍💜🌈💜

Fun fact: right now is the first time in probably years where I don't have body pain at all....

Maybe I should be under/after anesthesia all the time for my pain from #mecfs 😬

At least that shows me there ARE meds that help against the pain... I just don't get them...... 😖

Stood up for the first time and turns out the moisture I thought was sweat is a puddle of blood soaking down to the mattress 😬

Have a pressure bandage now, everything's fine.
I just hate that I still have to ring for help to be allowed stand up, I hate to inconvenience the nurses, they are all so stressed 😖

But funny thing: the tip of my tongue is numb from the intubation, feels really funny when eating 🤣

@jahleesu Stumbled over this post. I had the same! I had chronic pains that chiro/ massage were chasing all over my back, same pain but different spot every time. Had big surgery and those 12 hours just relaaaaaxed it all. And despite surgery related pain, and not being able to stand upright for 6+ weeks, the back behaved itself for quite a while. The brain fog from the anaesthesia, though - couldn't manage my brain to drive for many months. Hope your recovery goes smoothly and pain relief holds.
