@av I wonder if that’s true in this case. Peter Thiel’s behavior makes it clear that some members of the queer community prioritize conservatism & see it as more important. I cannot imagine the degree of denial required for those like Wells & Thiel. And not only those two as they are both in long term relationships.

@LucyWildboots @av @georgetakei Sometimes these folks just don't care because they're insulated and privileged enough that the systems don't affect them (until they do). If they can't get married? They'll hire a lawyer to make up agreements to achieve the same thing. They don't feel safe? They'll hire security. They might truly don't care about other people's sufferings.
