Imagine how many nurses or paramedics they could have hired with the gov’t money they spent on campaign flyers.

Oh, it would appear that indeed #HelpIsNotOnTheWay
@chad This makes me sick. I hope change comes to AB, and quick… and not just because we’re headed east. People deserve so much better.
@chad Working the privatize agenda!
@chad But isn't the UCP relying on rural voters to win the next election? Crazy.

@micropainter Rural AB is in deeper denial about healthcare – and really the entire sham that the UCP cares about them – than they are about COVID. I have octogenarian antivax relatives with chronic illness who've contracted COVID over+over, even in hospital while being treated for said illness, who still reassure me that the govt buying me off with pennies to help me raise my three kids is proof that they're the good guys. Like, not a single bit of any part of it makes any sense at all.

@chad

@chad
Same government that tore up the doctors contract so not surprised. Same snake different head #FiretheUCP
Great...so they let it get this bad, then *promise* to fix it or say they are working on it. Have they been to a clinic or hospital lately?! They're not fooling anyone! ALL they're spending money on is the flyer campaign!
@chad I don't know about your province, but ours is determined to undermine public healthcare in order to make private-run healthcare look more attractive.
@chad (deleted my comment, since I made it sound like the AB govt also paid for ads during hockey games - about HCWs liking them but could be outside support of UCP like a PAC).
@chad It's gross but I'm not surprised. Sadly, we can expect a ramping up of promotional material - printed or radio and TV ads, between now and the cut off during the provincial election period.
@kathrynmathias @chad and they used coated paper so you can't even make wound dressings out if it
