New HomePod!

Looks the same, but it's got a temperature and humidity sensor, Matter support, new ambient sound features, and new confirmation tones for some Siri requests.

Also: perfect tagline from Apple 😂

@viticci did the mini got updated too? Cause I see this in the comparison table but it's not listed anywhere in the HomePod mini specs page.

Apple’s page doesn’t say the HomePod mini is new.

Maybe these sensors were already there and they just haven’t told us. 🤔 This functionality might come in a software update.

@pkorros @viticci I just updated my HomePod mini to iOS 16.3 RC and the sensors are showing up in the Home app. It says they’re not responding, but somebody on Reddit said it needed around half hour to calibrate for them, so I’ll wait.
