It is clear me to this government could not deliver a nation building project if their lives depended upon it.
The Airlines are being looked after by the government but Australian's need choice not higher airfares.

Don't even need VFT just FT (fast train). Usually around 200km/hr
can do a realignment in the current rail line that hasn't been upgraded for over a century, upgrade the rolling stock and trains. This has been proposed before.
Rail in Australia is horrible and has been neglected for decades and it will take 50 years to even begin to undo the giant mess we've created by ignoring it if we started today. :( Just the gauges and signalling mess beteeen states is nightmare.
