Me: What kind of font is this?
@Skepticat
Yes, I ask about the font ALL THE TIME. I can tell what kind of font it is, I want to know the name of the font, the designer, and the foundry.
I also have questions about the paper. What is the proportion of rag content? Is it acid neutral, archival quality? It feels substantial, would I be right in guessing it is at least 62 pound bond?
Oh, one more thing if you don't mind, is this a soy-based ink? How long do you cure it after printing so that it doesn't smudge?
@VisualStuart @Skepticat Gonna go out on a limb and say it was probably 67lb Staples brand index, printed on the HP inkjet in the backroom with the clogged printhead on the magenta cartridge, left on draft mode because the owner is cheap af, using whatever font was available in MS Publisher because there's no budget to hire a designer. So the font is likely Arial, Verdana, or Trebuchet.
No, I'm not a jaded ex print shop employee, why do you ask? 😂
@VisualStuart @Skepticat There's something worse.
Someone dared make a Comic Sans-Papyrus hybrid. I am almost certain that someone, somewhere, has used it for a menu or signage at some point. I am just thankful I have not seen it in the wild, only in meme form.
Server: Any questions about the menu? Date: I don’t think so, I’ll hav— Me: *disgusted* Yeah who chose the font?
