So much for the right to bare arms:

Lawmakers in #Missouri House of Reps adopted stricter dress code for #women..now requires them to cover shoulders by wearing a jacket...cardigan or knit blazer...

"Y'all had a conniption fit...when we talked abt maybe wearing masks in pandemic to keep each other safer..I know some govs require women to wear things over their face, but here, oh, it's OK bc we're just talking abt how many layers they have to have over their shoulders"

@GottaLaff Get out while you still can.
@DarryB Hey, I did. I'm in Canada, lol
@GottaLaff Thank god. Once the last channels for criticism go quiet it's already too late.
@DarryB We go back and forth to California. We're legally permanent residents, but can't live here full time because elderly FIL is in Calif. But we have a townhouse and have a safe haven here.
@GottaLaff Well I'm sure the Canadians will welcome you without too much issue when it finally goes to shit. Sounds like a lovely way to live, and Canada and California are incredible.
@DarryB Thank you for that. We just love Canada. But we’ll miss California when we move permanently. It’s great there, you’re right.
@GottaLaff My Brother and I spent 18 months driving the length of the US. From New Orleans to Vancouver.
I found LA to be a hateful place but the rest I enjoyed.
Such a incredible diverse place.
@GottaLaff her portraits online are completely out of focus. Rather, background is in focus and the entire process appears to be a bokeh of keeping the background centered and drawing her out of frame. Speaking of Ann Kelley, her photographer must really loath and detest her.
@joeziehmer Ohhh... Well, maybe she requests it, lol

@GottaLaff

They just cannot control themselves. Ever since that Garden of Eden and that snake and Apple thing.

@GottaLaff

Nothing says freedom and equality for women like men telling women what to wear to work.

@GottaLaff That's home, but it isn't.

@GottaLaff If I was a male legislator in Missouri, I'd show up wearing a tank top. I'd love to see how they'd react to those bare shoulders and arms.

It reminds me of my freshman year in high school in Montana in 1987. At the time, no one was allowed to wear shorts to school. Girls could wear skirts, though. So, one of the senior boys decided to come to school wearing a skirt. He was promptly sent home, but the following year, students were allowed to wear shorts from April to October... πŸ˜„

@GottaLaff this dress code is insane! Even Christian prom attire allows bare arms as long as their shoulder straps are 2 inches wide
