I'm listening to 70's rock while sewing my quilt together.

"American Pie" came on and I had a vivid memory of sitting on the bright green shag carpeting in our living room with a cassette recorder and paper/pencil in front of me.

I'd recorded the song off of the radio (careful not to get the DJ's voice in there) and now wanted to write out the lyrics.

@AlaskaWx I saw them in 1980 in Wichita, KS. Small venue, about 200 people. I could have touched them on stage. I'll never forget it.
